Common cutting agents include Benzocaine, Lidocaine, Paracetamol, and Caffeine. Benzocaine, sold as a powder, is an antiseptic used to numb tooth pain. The numbing of Benzocaine is similar to the effect that Cocaine has on the nose. Benzocaine can be mixed with Cocaine in a 50:50 ratio without a noticeable difference in drug quality, making Benzocaine the cutting agent of choice for many drug dealers.

1. What are the features of API benzocaine?

Benzocaine is used to relieve pain and itching caused by conditions such as sunburn or other minor burns, insect bites or stings, poison ivy, poison oak, poison sumac, minor cuts, or scratches.

Benzocaine belongs to a group of medicines known as topical local anesthetics. Benzocaine deadens the nerve endings in the skin. Benzocaine does not cause unconsciousness like general anesthetics do when used for surgery. Benzocaine is available without a prescription. However, your doctor may have special instructions on the proper use and dose of Benzocaine for your medical condition.

The remarkable feature of Benzocaine is that it is easy to combine with the lipid layer on the mucosa or skin surface. Benzocaine is not easy to enter the human body to cause toxicity. There are more than 100 kinds of Benzocaine preparations abroad, including 27 kinds of tablets, 17 kinds of ointments, 6 kinds of creams, 3 kinds of capsule bases, and other preparations such as suppositories and lotions. Benzocaine is mainly used for oral sterilization, oral ulcers, and sore throat. In addition, Benzocaine is an important organic synthesis intermediate, mainly used in the production of medicine, plastics and coatings. Benzocaine has an anesthetic effect, which can be used to synthesize Osopram, Osopram, and Neo Osopram. This kind of anesthetics has the advantages of good stability, quick onset, long maintenance time and small side effects so that it is widely used.

2. What are the side effects of Benzocaine?

Along with needed effects, Benzocaine topical may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of side effects of Benzocaine may occur, if they do occur, you may need medical attention immediately.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects of Benzocaine occur while taking Benzocaine topical: bluish-colored lips, fingernails, or palms, dark urine, difficulty breathing, dizziness or lightheadedness, headache, high fever, nausea, pale skin, rapid heart rate, sore throat, unusual bleeding or bruising, unusual tiredness or weakness, vomiting, worsening of pain, redness, swelling, or irritation in or around the mouth.

Other side effects of Benzocaine not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional.

Apply a dose of Benzocaine evenly to exterior of tube or instrument prior to use. It is not likely that other drugs you take orally or inject will have an effect on topically applied Benzocaine.

3. What should be paid attention to when using Benzocaine?

Benzocaine topical used in the mouth may cause a condition in which the oxygen in your body tissues become dangerously low. This is a potentially fatal condition called methemoglobinemia. Do not use Benzocaine topical if you have ever had methemoglobinemia. Get emergency medical help if you have symptoms of methemoglobinemia, including headache, tired feeling, confusion, fast heart rate, and feeling light-headed or short of breath, with a pale, blue, or gray appearance of your skin, lips, or fingernails.

An overdose of numbing medication such as Benzocaine can cause fatal side effects if too much of Benzocaine is absorbed through your skin and into your blood. This can happen if you apply more Benzocaine than the recommended dose. Please use the smallest amount needed.

Fatal overdoses of Benzocaine have occurred when numbing medicines were used without the advice of a medical doctor. Be aware that Benzocaine is performed with a medical doctor present.

Do not use Benzocaine topical on a child younger than 2 years old.
